This new wireless enclosure system can transform your existing 12VDC indoor box style IP cameras or one of ours into an 802.11 wireless outdoor network camera. This new product allows you to choose one of our proven IP cameras or one your own. This flexibilty allows you to expand your indoor IP security monitoring system to outdoors and wireless. We will even pre-configure the wireless system to match your existing wireless network and security protocol, provding a plug-n-play setup for you. All of this together and more provides you with the most versatile and powerful outdoor IP camera system on the market today.
The Outdoor Wireless Enclosure for IP Cameras, WLAN-CAM, features a commercial grade 400mw integrated 802.11b/g wireless enclosure system for most box type 12 Volt DC IP cameras.
This is commercial grade wireless quality, over 4 times more powerful than most wireless systems found on shelf in stores.
Along with high output power, it features an advanced receiver design incorporating strong sensitivity and noise immunity performance. Additional features include secondary LAN interface, serial port, signal strength led's, and a custom heatsink allowing performance over extended temperature ranges while inside compact enclosures. The wireless software has a user-friendly, intuitive interface which makes the overall product a simple, reliable, and powerful wireless camera solution.
The unit is powered by a 12vdc POE (power over ethernet) device for easy software configuration and power delivery. But 110VAC power is required for the POE device unless you purchase our 12VDC battery option. The POE device is mainly used to make the installation easier and to avoid needing a licensed electrician because it only carries 12V with low amperage. It also provides a convienant place for programining the systems. And a weather proof enclosure can also be purchased to protect the POE device from the the elements and wandering hands. The camera is supplied with a 7db whip antenna and uses an industry standard antenna connector if a higher antenna gain or distance is required. The communication range and speed / bandwidth will vary from 50 feet @ 54mbs to 1-2 miles (or more) @ 1mbs depending on the antenna used, and the amount of objects in the line of site and the power of the receiving wireless device.
